Prominent opponents of homeschooling are working to restrict homeschool freedom.

While homeschooling is freer than it has ever been, the need for supporters to be aware, active, and unafraid has not changed.

An increasing number of voices who would see the government unnecessarily regulate and control homeschooling are growing louder. What these voices fail to consider is just how well homeschool students are doing.

Homeschooling is positively linked to:

  • Higher academic performance, compared to students in traditional schools.
  • Above-average measurements on social, emotional, and psychological development.
  • Greater participation in extra-curricular activities, including sports, music and community service.
  • Higher rates of high school graduation than any other form of education.
  • Higher rates of college attendance and graduation
  • Real-life skills that prepare homeschool students for successful lives and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Homeschooling also provides an environment where the family bond can deepen, students can grow and learn at their own pace, and parents can meet their child's unique needs.

Despite the overwhelming evidence that homeschooling works, reporters and legislators are calling for greater restrictions.

When homeschool freedoms are threatened, we are the ones who must take a stand.
